Welcome to Holt Farm, come and enjoy a great countryside break with family or friends

We had an excellent stay. The weather was beautiful, the walks muddy and enjoyable. Excellent food at Poston Mill and White Haywood Farm. Such a warm welcome here – and there! The accommodation was perfect for our large walking group – we booked all the cottages. Lots of giggles in the hot tub, and lots of late night Dad Dancing and disc boogy. Apologies to the local sheep. Thank you

An oasis of calm, comfort, peace and welcome. A real find – a magnificent place to stay. Great walks locally (we did six) and much to explore including fascinating churches. Driving round here give good reversing practice. Thank you for providing such a well equipped place and for the welcome!

Another fabulously relaxing break at Holt Farm. Unbelievably this is our fifth visit but our first in the Wain House and our first Autumn visit. Thanks again and I’m sure we’ll be back. Sally and Wayne

Wonderful break from motorways and towns. We enjoyed it all – from Longtown Castle, Abbey Dore, Hay Bluff (must see!) and over the Black Mountains, found  St Margaret’s church and finishing off at the Bridge Inn for dinner. The Wain House was comfortable, roomy, with beds and sofas – very comfortable and well appointed. And even Internet!  Lynne and Tony

Cannot find enough words to describe just how wonderful this self-catering facility is. We were a party of 20 celebrating a 60th birthday.  Ages ranged from 11-86 years and everyone has had a marvellous time. The equipment and facilities are second to none. Cannot fault anything. Lots of lovely hot water, warm and cosy, masses of catering equipment. Everything has been thought of. We managed a couple of lovely walks in this beautiful part of the world. Would have not hesitation in recommending this to everyone and  especially those contemplating a family celebration, Thank you.
